As a husband, father and conservative, Ray Rodrigues is deeply concerned about the issues facing our great state. That is why he's running to represent Southwest Florida in the state Senate.

A lifelong Republican, Ray has served as the Vice-Chair of the Lee County Republican Party and has fought in the Florida Legislature for issues that matter to our community, including restoring and preserving our water quality, an open and transparent government, and lower taxes.

Ray’s dedication to conservative values and free market principles have been recognized by conservative advocates including: the Florida Chamber of Commerce Honor Roll, A+ ratings from Americans for Prosperity, the Champion of Family award from the Florida Family Council, and the Foundation of Government Accountability's Champion of Children Award.

Ray earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Berry College in Rome, Georgia and in 2017 earned his Master in Public Administration degree from Florida Gulf Coast University. Ray and his wife Ruth have been married for 26 years and have a 17 year old son, Rhett. They live in Estero, Florida.
